Unfortunately, none of the retailers selling these things seem to list thread pitches, and I can't find any forum threads listing them either, so I'm hoping one of you folks knows. 308Win (7.62x51mm) This is a Ludwig Loewe Mauser Chileno 1895 chambered in 7.62x51mm(.308 Win) and manufactured in Berlin. However, early Kar98k rods are very similar in length (10.25" Chilean carbine vs 10" K98k), and can be had for $10 online, and frankly, my rifle is already mismatched, I won't mind too badly if a purely aesthetic piece is wrong - if it fits. So anyway, does anyone know the thread pitch of a Chilean 1895 cleaning rod? I found a link to Liberty Tree Collectors for $24+shipping on a carbine-length rod. All serial numbers match including the cleaning rod. Metal: 90 bluing, scattered light pitting.

Just trying to piece it together right now, it's missing the cleaning rod and bayonet, and the rear sight slider is bent, and the V notch in the battle sight is super tiny. Carbine, I believe correctly called a short rifle, made for the Navy from rifles in the 20's. Legend: 'Mauser Chileno Modelo 1895 Manufactura Loewe Berlin'. Decent shape, though haven't shot it yet. price item condition date sold 415.00 : other model chilean 7mm mauser 1895 w/ bayonet 29' bbl frederic, wi 54837: used: : 293. Non-matching bolt sadly, though it is at least Chilean. The Chilean Crest is worn but still visible. This speciment is all matching number with the exception ot the bolt.
